Featured Staff: “Guardian” Gilbert

In Dominica, life meanders by at a gentle pace, and who better to remind you of this than Gilbert Panthier, one of the Security Personnel team at Secret Bay, and this newsletter’s featured staff member. Indeed, on a relaxed and friendly island such as Dominica, Gilbert’s role extends far beyond that of traditional security guard, and he can be found setting up your barbecue grill on your villa deck, carefully preparing your kayak for snorkelling excursions or perhaps engaged in a spot of maintenance. In his spare time he enjoys playing music and singing.

As with all our dedicated and professional staff at Secret Bay, Gilbert is always delighted to go that one step further, for example escorting guests back to their villa after a night out: “One of the nicest touches was the escorted late night walk back to our villa. Not for security reasons, just to be reminded that you were there to be pampered.”
