Part of the luxury of staying at Secret Bay is the colourful, delicious and sustainable diet you’ll encounter, satisfying the mind and body in one dream holiday. Each meal is prepared on-site by renowned Executive Chef Eric and his culinary team, using the most nourishing, flavorful, and colorful fare sourced from Secret Bay gardens and local markets. Chef Eric utilises wild herbs from the Secret Bay property to season his dishes and prepare healing herbal teas. By supporting local businesses and using the freshest ingredients, both the producers and consumers reap the benefits.

A La Carte: In-Villa or Deck Dining

Secret Bay’s most popular option involves dining in the luxurious comfort of a guests’ own villa, bungalow or on one of the grounds’ many quiet decks overlooking the Caribbean sea. Your dedicated villa attendant can take orders for breakfast, lunch and dinner and deliver it, fully prepared, to your residence. Or, for a day well spent on the sand, your villa attendant will arrange and deliver a packaged picnic lunch. Dinner is typically scheduled early in the day and can be prepared and waiting for you upon return from activities on or off-site.

The Souce Shack

On the way to Tibay Beach is Secret Bay’s very own Souce Shack. Souce means “source” in Dominican Creole — a fitting title for Chef Eric Subin’s kitchen, where his creativity and passion for fresh, local ingredients come to life. The Souce Shack is the perfect locale for witnessing the preparation of the unique flavors of Dominica as you recount your days’ adventures. Being one of only a handful of communal spaces located on the lush property, The Souce Shack provides a unique lunch and dinner experience beyond the privacy of your villa or bungalow.


Secret Bay’s staff will pre-stock your villa or bungalow kitchen with your favourite foods, including breakfast essentials, snacks, beverages and a medley of locally-grown organic produce, which you may select on our pre-arrival questionnaire. Cook in your fully-equipped European gourmet kitchen, or have your villa attendant prepare breakfast to your specifications.

Breakfast & Dinner Package

$185 USD for 2 people per day, plus taxes

Indulge in nourishing, flavorful and colorful fare sourced locally from the island and delivered direct to your villa or bungalow, once in the morning and again each evening, leaving room in the middle for the spontaneous adventures of each day. Each meal is prepared on-site by Executive Chef Eric Subin and his culinary team.



Cooking Classes

If you would like to engage in the lively and relaxing cooking process, one of our cooks will be pleased to come to your villa and bungalow and teach you traditional Dominican dishes made with the many local tropical ingredients. And, of course, you can enjoy the fruits of your labour and delight in the meal you have created on your private villa or bungalow terrace.

Wine at Secret Bay

In addition to the well-stocked wine coolers available in the villas, we also offer a selection of fine wines from around the world stored in our professional temperature-controlled cellar. Whether you are in the mood for a chilled glass of Provençal rosé in your hammock, a Champagne aperitif to celebrate your holiday or an exceptional vintage red to accompany your home-cooked meal – all our wines have been especially selected by our experienced French sommelier and we are sure there will be one that is just right for you.
