Dominica Named World’s Best Country for Second Citizenship

For the sixth consecutive year The Financial Times’ subsidiary Professional Wealth Management named Dominica the “Best Country for Citizenship by Investment in the World,” ranking the island’s Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programme first in the CBI Index — the most prestigious resource cataloging all active CBI programmes across the globe.

The CBI Index compares global CBI programmes as a whole and specific aspects of each programme, reflected in the CBI Index’s nine pillars. Dominica bested 11 other nations with active CBI programmes and scored full marks in the areas of Minimum Investment Outlay, Mandatory Travel or Residence, Ease of Processing, Due Diligence, Family and Certainty of Product.

Of the accomplishment, Dominica’s Prime Minister, the Honourable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, said: “For the last 29 years, we have ensured that our CBI programme really meets the needs of an ever-changing global investor. We’re proud to yet again be ranked as one of the best CBI offerings in the world and look to increase our scores across all nine pillars next year. People who invest in our programme can be 100% sure that they are also investing in a country that cares about the planet and one that is taking tangible, measurable steps to protect the planet.”

With its commitment to selling built product, paying out positive returns, offering a competitive exit strategy on the vacation home market, while providing a hedge against currency instability,  The Residences at Secret Bay continually presents the nation’s most coveted, successful and beneficial opportunity to achieve second citizenship. Whether for the luxury of visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 140 countries, capital gain or the security of a backup plan, savvy CBI investors know the value of investing in a high-performing real estate project under an established program that allows individuals or families to obtain citizenship.

Since launching in 2019, the gold standard for the real estate option under Dominica’s CBI programme has been setting records for sales success. The project recently announced it exceeded ROI forecasts for the first quarter of 2022 and is paying its more than 100 Citizenship by Investment (CBI) owners from around the globe 40%+ more than projected. Further, the project was recently showcased in United Airlines’ Hemispheres Magazine and Luxury Magazine, Mastercard’s publication for Black Card holders. The resort has also received global acclaim and was just named Travel + Leisure’s #1 hotel in the Caribbean in the publication’s ‘World’s best Awards.’ Likewise, Dominica was named the #1 Caribbean island, further underscoring its appeal as an investment destination.
