After being married for 13 years and having three young children our lives are great but became very routine. Those routines can easily become ruts. Being stuck in them can become boring and dangerous. Those ruts can unfortunately cause you to forget why you fell in love or how special that other person in your life still is. Secret Bay has this magical way of not only removing you from that rut but like a time machine it finds a way to bring you back to that time before children, before huge responsibilities, back to the time when you first fell in love. The lack of night life will have the two of you staring into the stars and giggling about the silliest things. Not having a resort pool will quickly remind you how nice it is to not have to run out at 5 am and put towels on the chairs to save your spot. Not having a bar insured that every drink I made was only too weak or too strong because I wanted it to be. Not having a menu to choose from was not an issue because no request was ever not met. And as far as if my wife and I could deal with each other, we can’t wait to go again next year!

“Our family has traveled all over the world and this place is definitely at the top. Dominica itself is an unspoiled beautiful nature island not touristy at all. And Secret Bay over the moon beautiful. Everything is top end. No details are left out. Beautiful views, pool and plenty of space. And the service could not be better. Everyone of the staff super sweet and ready to attend to any need or whim we had. My kids (13 and 19) are very picky eaters and every request they made was filled without hesitation. The kids were thrilled as were my husband and I. I fell ill one day and the staff went above and beyond to attend to me. All you have to do is ask about an excursion and all arrangements are taken care of. We went whale watching which was amazing. If you like to be off the beaten path in luxury that is not pretentious…look no further.”

All told, this place is honest, caring, and genuine through and through. It’s a perfect antidote to more clinical high-end resorts, but with all the personal attentiveness you might expect at the price point. Literally every person we met was friendly and devoted entirely to helping make the stay remarkable. You won’t find many more special places in this area of the Caribbean, and it’s entirely worth the extra expense you may be weighing.

My husband and I honeymooned at Secret Bay a few weeks ago and it was amazing! This place is stunning, the beaches are beautiful! The room was amazing and a very romantic setting. We didn’t even really see any other guests the whole time we were there. We stayed in Zabuco II and it was beautiful. We did the night snorkeling there and we highly recommend it! Also, all of our excursions were set up by the hotel and they were amazing! We had a guide take us to some of the waterfall hikes and the boiling lake and we also did some beautiful scuba diving. The trip was amazing and this hotel is beautiful and a perfect honeymoon spot.
