United Airlines Adds Second Non-Stop Flight To Dominica

This fall, travel to Dominica becomes even more seamless with the introduction of more nonstop flights from the US mainland. Beginning October 29, 2025, United Airlines will offer a new Wednesday nonstop flight from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM), complementing the existing Saturday service launched earlier this year. The result: easier, more flexible access to Dominica, and to Secret Bay.

A New Way to Arrive

The new Wednesday flight departs Newark mid-morning and arrives in Dominica in the early afternoon, allowing travelers from the tri-state area and beyond to touch down in time for a sunset swim or private clifftop dinner. The return flight departs Dominica late afternoon, giving guests a full final day before heading home. The route is serviced by a Boeing 737-700, offering a comfortable and efficient travel experience.

For Secret Bay guests, the midweek arrival opens the door to curated escapes. Whether you’re looking for a spontaneous 3- or 4-night retreat or a 7-night immersion in nature, this new schedule offers greater freedom to shape your ideal getaway.

More Routes, More Flexibility

In addition to the United Airlines expansion, Caribbean Airlines has introduced new flights to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU). These flights provide better connectivity from the US to Dominica, with departures from San Juan at 4:00 PM, three-times weekly — late enough to connect with major inbound flights from key US cities. This new route gives travelers even more options when planning their journey to Secret Bay.

Celebrating the Midweek Escape

To celebrate the added ease of travel, Secret Bay is extending special offers:

Each of these options is designed to match the flexibility offered by the new flight schedules while delivering the secluded luxury and personalized service Secret Bay is known for.

Dominica’s Moment

The timing of United’s expansion couldn’t be better. Dominica continues to emerge as a top destination for travelers seeking a crowd-free Caribbean with immersive, nature-forward experiences. In December 2025, the island will debut the world’s longest detachable cable car, linking the Roseau Valley to Boiling Lake and transforming a challenging six-hour trek into a scenic 20-minute ride. This is just one of many new developments positioning Dominica as the Caribbean’s next must-visit destination.

With a growing list of boutique accommodations, eco-luxury resorts, and curated experiences, the island is evolving while still maintaining the authenticity and untouched beauty that set it apart.

At Secret Bay, the addition of United’s midweek flight means endless possibilities. Imagine waking up in New York and sitting down to a private chef-prepared dinner overlooking the Caribbean Sea by evening. Or escaping the workweek for a long weekend of wellness, exploration, and rest in one of our clifftop villas.
