Secret Bay Ranks Among Best Hotels in the Caribbean on Fodor’s Finest List for 2026

We’re honoured to share that Fodor’s has named Secret Bay among the six best hotels in the Caribbean in its annual Fodor’s Finest list for 2026 — a highly selective collection of the world’s 100 most incredible stays, handpicked by editors and a panel of hospitality experts.
This year’s list celebrates Caribbean properties that are, as Fodor’s puts it, “each unique and unforgettable, standing out as a cut above the rest of the region’s beachfront resorts.” Among stunning destinations from Aruba to Anguilla, Secret Bay is recognized for its otherworldly setting, sustainable design, and transformative guest experience.
As Fodor’s describes, “Secret Bay enchants from the moment you take the resort’s funicular 400 feet up to the clifftop villas perched between the rainforest and the sea.” The publication highlights the resort’s 22 luxury villas, constructed from sustainably sourced hardwoods that “wow with their indoor-outdoor aesthetic,” offering wraparound terraces, private plunge pools, and panoramic views of Dominica’s dramatic northwest coast.
Beyond the villas, Fodor’s celebrates the experiences that make Secret Bay “a secret too good to keep to yourself.” From breakfast prepared by your private villa host to adventures like kayaking to the secluded Secret Beach or unwinding on Tibay Beach, every moment is designed for discovery.
Guests are also invited to taste Dominica’s rich flavors through a “no menu” tasting experience at rooftop Bwa Denn, a chef’s table lunch beside the Cario River at Botanica, and to find calm with a massage at the treetop Gommier Spa or sunset yoga above the rainforest canopy.
To be featured on Fodor’s Finest list is a true honour — one that reflects Secret Bay’s ongoing commitment to redefining travel through sustainability and a deep connection to place. See the full Fodor’s Finest list for 2026 here, and the Caribbean standouts here.
