Guests and honorees

On April 6, 2022, Secret Bay celebrated its 10-year anniversary in a grand Nature Island way. In an evening affair, local dignitaries, business partners, staff, and friends reveled in Secret Bay’s storied past and bright future, including Dominica’s crown jewel development, The Residences at Secret Bay. The development is setting records for sales success, and has become the gold standard for the real estate option under Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programme.

“I’m proud of what we’ve built over the past decade, and am excited about our master plan and full vision now becoming a further reality,” said Gregor Nassief, proprietor of Secret Bay and The Residences at Secret Bay, and CEO of GEMS Holdings Limited. “With The Residences, we are offering international investors an opportunity to own luxury real estate generating annual returns with the peace-of-mind of currency stability, along with a path to second citizenship and all the benefits that come along with that.”

These individuals were identified as:

  • The Enablers – Phillip Nassief, Fruto Vivas
  • The Builders – Daniel Guastella, Alistair Grell, Claude Lauture, Abo “Mike” Shama
  • The Believers – Honourable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, John & Cathy Hanna, The Didier Family

In his address at the 10-year anniversary event, the Honourable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of Dominica, credited Nassief, who he says “has boosted [the] island’s image as a desirable destination for high-end clientele seeking comfort, peace and timeless elegance.” Prime Minister Skerrit referred to Secret Bay as “one of the most sought after and renowned hotels in the Caribbean” and “an award winning property, offering a unique, upscale experience within a most beautiful and picturesque setting.” He added, “Secret Bay has helped us tap into our true potential as a nature haven and proven that Dominica can indeed offer a top-class, six-star experience to vacationers seeking the ideal retreat.”
