Nurture the Nature Island

A Truly Once-In-A-Lifetime Eco-Travel Experience

$225 USD per person, plus taxes

While the island’s roots are deep and the landscape continues to rebound in the wake of recent storms—with stunning vibrancy, no less—there is plenty more to restore. Not only does the restoration of this ecosystem provide a home for 278 animal species and a diverse range of vegetation, it supports the future of Dominica—a country President Clinton recently proclaimed could be a global leader in sustainability and one that’s on route to be the first climate-resilient country in the world.

With this package, your priceless contribution to our planet begins right here on the “Nature Island,” as you join island naturalists in the ecological survey and restoration of one of the world’s most treasured ecosystems.

Discover by Land

Embark upon a half-day walk on the Syndicate Nature Trail or Secret Bay’s adopted Segment 11 of the Waitukubuli National Trail aside resident bird and forestry expert Dr. Birdy and take part in his signature “sapling care” regimen to encourage new rainforest growth.

Explore by Sea

Spend a half-day at sea with local fisherman and marine-aficionado, Captain Don, where you will perform a coastal survey, beach cleanup and snorkel along the island’s still pristine northern reefs.

A Complimentary Night at Secret Bay

We are committed to doing our part to restore the Nature Island. In exchange for these two half-days volunteering your time, Secret Bay will provide one complimentary night in appreciation of your service. Stay 7+ nights and receive a second night free.

*All voluntourism experiences include appropriate equipment, safety gear, transportation and packed lunch.
