For a delicious home-cooked meal served in the comfort of your villa or bungalow without any of the hassle of shopping, preparating or clearing up afterwards, we offer a personalised cooking service (up to two meals a day).

• Breakfast: From full-on local Creole Dominican breakfast to homemade pancakes, French toast or eggs any style accompanied by just-squeezed tropical fruit-juice and cocoa tea – you choose how you want to start your day.
• Lunch: Be it a light snack or more substantial fare or even a tasty picnic for your daily excursions, our cooks will whip up just what you fancy.
• Dinner: Just give us an indication in the morning what you’re in the mood for and we will prepare a delicious, healthy meal for you using local organic ingredients and whatever’s in season.  Some of our popular dishes include: yam pie, pumpkin rice, grilled shrimp, sweet potato chips all accompanied by a crispy fresh salad. A personalised menu with the Secret Bay “surprise and delight you” touch.

We can accommodate all diets including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free.

Food/ingredient costs are additional, averaging between US$300 and US$450 per couple for a five-day stay (not including alcohol). There is also a $15 shopping and delivery charge.

In addition to the well-stocked wine coolers available in the villas, we also offer a selection of fine wines from around the world stored in our professional temperature-controlled cellar.

So whether you are in the mood for a chilled glass of Provençal rosé in your hammock, a Champagne aperitif to celebrate your holiday or an exceptional vintage red to accompany your home-cooked meal - all our wines have been especially selected by our experienced French sommelier and we are sure there will be one that is just right for you.

Baskets of fresh organic homemade food can be delivered straight to your villa or bungalow. In Dominica “organic” goes without saying – eating healthily and looking after the land is a natural way of life here. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons that Dominica has one of the highest number of centenarians in the world.

We also offer cooking classes: one of our cooks will come to your villa and bungalow and teach you traditional Dominican dishes made with the many local tropical ingredients. A fun and relaxing way to engage with a very important part of our local culture.

A number of renowned Dominican chefs are available to come to your villa or bungalow and prepare a fantastic meal – an ‘a la carte’ just for you. To celebrate a special occasion or just for the pleasure of experiencing fine dining in your own beautiful al fresco terrace, we bring the pleasures of the restaurant to you.

You are also more than welcome to watch the masterchef as they prepare and cook your food – picking up tips about their special blend of Dominican and international cuisine that you can take back home with you.

Why not accompany your special evening with a little light music – we can also arrange a private jazz concert just for you  - see All that Jazz (later in this section).

Down on Tibay Beach where the Cario river flows out to the Caribbean Sea is our own little meeting point: The Souce Shack. Souce (meaning “source” in Dominican Creole) is an informal outdoor bar serving everything from freshly-squeezed juice to our wonderful rehydrator smoothies and daytime homemade snacks to your evening meal.

We occasionally organise informal gatherings where you can get together with other guests and staff. Fresh juice in hand, easy chatter and the sun setting out to sea: relaxed sophistication, Secret Bay-style.

If you want to get more of a taste of local culture, there are many lovely restaurants to explore both down the road in Portsmouth as well as a little further afield across the island.

For a little light evening entertainment, we can arrange for a private one-man jazz concert in the privacy of your villa terrace.

The brilliant Robert Armstrong James - a veteran jazz musician and star of the local jazz scene - will serenade you under the stars in an intimate evening you will remember forever.
