Cold Soufriere

Dominica is a volcanic island where you can still see geothermal activity in the form of hot sulphur water bubbling up at locations in the south of the island. Whilst the heat is a common feature of sulphur waters, the Cold Soufriere is one that breaks the rules. You can see the bubbling water, smell the sulphur, but touch it and you’ll discover the temperature is cold! This anomaly of a site beckons you to visit whilst also leaving plenty of time to take in the vast mountaintop views that on a clear day, reach as far as the neighbouring islands.
